How this forum is run, and the gaps in it

Voro · 2026-10-18 05:21:32 UTC

A few things stated plainly, because these decisions are much easier to make now than to reverse later. No invented activity. Every account here belongs to a real person, and every post is written by whoever's name is on it. There is no seeding of fake threads, no inflated member count, and there will not be. If the forum looks quiet, that is because it is quiet. Disagreement is the point. You can think the Cybercab is transformative or think it is a decade early. Both belong here. Treating the other side as stupid does not. Numbers need sources. If you quote a fleet size, a price or a regulatory filing, say where it came from. A great deal of what circulates about this programme is second-hand, and the forum is only useful if it is not. Moderation is deliberately narrow. A moderator can lock a topic or delete it. A moderator cannot edit your words - only you can do that, and edits are stamped with a time. If a thread gets locked, there will normally be a reason given. Corrections are welcome, including to my own posts. I write them quickly and I get things wrong. If I have, say so in the thread rather than letting it stand. What is not implemented yet, so you know before you ask: no email notifications, no password reset by email, and no way to delete your own account without asking me. Those are real gaps, not deliberate refusals. If something about how this is run should change, this is the thread for it.
