Welcome to the Cybercab Forum — start here

Welcome — and thank you for being early. This forum exists because the Cybercab rollout has started moving faster than the places we usually talk about it. Consider where things stand right now. Tesla says 300+ Cybercabs are serving Austin, an eightfold increase in thirty days. Dallas was named as next. Sworn answers are due to NHTSA by the end of October. Third-quarter earnings land on 21 October. Whatever you make of Tesla's timelines, there is suddenly a great deal of concrete detail to keep track of, and most of it disappears down a feed within a day. That gap is what this place is meant to fill. What this is ------------ An independent forum about the Cybercab and the wider robotaxi rollout: service areas and geofences, ride reports, autonomy behaviour, per-mile economics, depot and charging infrastructure, and the regulation that shapes all of it. Threads here are meant to be found. If someone searches in six months for what the Austin service area looked like in October 2026, or how a Cybercab handled a particular junction, the answer should still be here and still readable — not buried in a timeline. What this is not ---------------- It is not a fan club, and it is not a place to dunk on Tesla either. "This is remarkable" and "this is not ready" are both welcome here. All I ask is that you argue rather than declare, and point at a source when you quote numbers. It is also not Tesla. Cybercab, Robotaxi and FSD are trademarks of Tesla, Inc. This is an independent project with no affiliation, endorsement or sponsorship from Tesla. The guidelines linked in the footer are short and worth a look. To get started -------------- Reply below with any of these. Short answers are welcome: - Where are you, and is robotaxi service actually available near you yet? - What is the one thing about Cybercab you cannot get a straight answer to? - If you have ridden in one, what surprised you? One last thing -------------- You are early. There are more categories than threads right now, which means whatever you post is likely to become the first thing anyone finds on that subject. That is worth more than it sounds.
